Sundays in our house have a rhythm.

While she maps out the week, sets goals, and aligns the vision, I’m in the kitchen building something layered and intentional. This Sunday, it was The Detroit Sunrise Stack.

This isn’t just a breakfast sandwich. It’s balance, in food form!

The Pork bacon and sausage gives it a rich flavor. 
A fried egg seasoned with a mixture of sea salt, dried tomato, and basil, plus a touch of Mrs. Dash Chipotle, which gives it a good smoky depth.
I used some American cheese because it adds a nice creaminess and helps hold everything together as it melts perfectly.
All stacked on a buttery toasted sourdough.

Then I add the Towanna Twist on it and this thing gets interesting.

Hot honey drizzled over the meat! 
A thin swipe of strawberry preserves on the bottom slice of bread.
Then the entire sandwich goes back on the grill for one to two minutes to seal in the flavor and lightly caramelize the sweetness.

Served with sliced Gala apples for freshness and crunch.

Detroit Sunrise Stack Recipe

Ingredients
Pork bacon
Sausage patties
Eggs
American cheese
Sourdough loaf slices
Hot honey
Strawberry preserves
Sea salt with dried tomato and basil
Mrs. Dash Chipotle blend
Gala apples

Instructions:
Cook bacon and sausage until crisp and browned.
Fry egg and season with Old World Italian Seasoning Salt and Dash Southwest Chipotle Seasoning Blend.
Butter & Toast sourdough slices.
Spread a thin layer of strawberry preserves on the bottom slice.
Layer sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese.
Drizzle hot honey lightly over the meat.
Close sandwich and grill 1–2 minutes to seal and caramelize.
Slice and serve with fresh Gala apples.
